Description
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – Written by Lewis Carroll, the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. The story began on 4 July 1862, during a boating trip on the Thames with ten-year-old Alice Liddell, her sisters Lorina and Edith, and the Reverend Robinson Duckworth. At their request, Dodgson spun the first version of this fantastical tale, later published in 1865, which contains many playful references to that memorable day.
This edition presents Selyf Roberts’ 1982 full-length Welsh translation, created to replace his earlier 1953 abridged version. Freshly typeset, with minor updates to spelling and syntax for current Welsh, it also features John Tenniel’s classic illustrations.
